Y’all don’t have to credit photos anymore, you know that right?
Mmmmmmm, nice minty BMW, well, 8 50i is it? Pop up headlight game is strong.
And while the confusing scenery bit hasn’t really taken place yet, this photo was taken some 30 or 40 feet above the true ground level as is typical in Atlanta.
Ah yes, the new, wait, that construction site seems a little fishy. Yup, it’s a fake one. Movie production hasn’t stopped around here. Seems like an odd place for it but where else are you going to get the appearance of a giant hole in the ground with none of the safety issues caused by filming in an actual giant hole in the ground? No idea what is here usually.
But their cherry picker was very Oppo.
The elusive 2013 Elantra Coupe spotted in the wild! The number of coupes in Atlanta is a nonzero number, which is more than most places can say. I’ve noticed a shocking number of two door variants of cars you almost always see as four doors simply due to the shorter wheelbase and the associated convenience in a large city.
Olds Cutlass Convertible?
Update: Ranwhenparked identified it as a ‘79-’85 Eldorado, probably done by American Sunroof Corp.
First Beetle Dune I remember spotting in the wild. I actually like it, though I definitely wouldn’t buy one.
Possibly the worst car and wheel combo I’ve seen for quite some time.
I hate to say it but those wheels are too small for that truck with a lift. And those don’t look terrible in white.
The proportions are strong with this one. That is a good looking executive saloon if I’ve ever seen one.
And I promised confusing scenery. The corner of Peachtree and Peachtree sure delivers, but it gets better when you realize that Peachtree Place also intersects an unrelated West Peachtree Street and this is the intersection of East Peachtree Street.
This is close to where the Autoeater continually devours a poor Fiat Panda.
Oppo, which car would you drive home today? Since the Bimmer and the Bentley are too obvious that cherry picker looked like a pretty sweet ride.

It’s baffling when people lift a truck and don’t put larger tires on it. You haven’t gained any clearance at all!

I’d take the Fiat Panda.
Also can I have those wheels for the van please?

Well I get to see it anytime I want! TWO old Fiats in midtown! It's really rather impressive.

You picked an old one. I’d go for one without the playsch ool interior.

It’s almost like a vast majority of people who lift trucks aren’t actually trying to improve ground clearance

i’d be happy with an ‘09 or ‘10MY Challenger.
don’t want an ‘08 as they were auto only.

It’s the only 8-series.
Weirdly some people claim that BMW called another car “6" after the E24. I don’t believe it. What are they claiming next? That there is a front-wheel drive mini-van made by BMW? Some people...

Well it’s 10-1 that this is also an auto. There’s a newer Challenger or Charger on every corner so I’m surprised it was only this older one that showed up. There is a lot to like about them. A big, comfy, fast, and stylish GT car that can be used every day and doesn’t break the bank.

Which wheels?
And while the Panda has no rust it also has plexiglass windows and is embedded in a marble sculpture. You’d have a hard time retrieving your prize.

Well clearly you liked it enough to further crop my image. I do love those things. Such pop up headlights. Such wedge.

It’s an average action flick, did really poorly in the theaters at the time so a bit cult.
It’s quite similar to the original Die Hard ; Dredd and a r ookie fighting bad guys and girls to stay alive and apprehend a tyrant chick through a locked down skyscraper.
With what goes down, I would say all of them. ;)

That’s a tough ask given the number of Peachtree something or others around.
Funny how some movies can be pretty good but totally lost to time because they did poorly. As someone who appreciates hopelessly obscure stuff, some movies are made better by being so off the beaten path.
But if it was designed to have broad appeal but just never entered the public zeitgeist it’s a little different than those strangely endearing indie movies like, for instance, The Cars That Ate Paris; or, The Cars That Eat People.
